A few years ago, I felt a strong pull to begin putting words to what motherhood had been teaching me through the years. After more than 17 years on this journey, I realized there were lessons on my heart that could encourage the mom just beginning, the one in the thick of it, and the one trying to find her footing in a new season.
This book shares pieces of my journey, but it is not really about me. It is for you.
It is a reminder that you are not alone.
It is meant to pour into your heart so you can keep pouring into the hearts of the people you love most.
All the Things is a reflection on the beauty, weight, growth, and constant stretching that comes with motherhood. It is a journey that changes us from the inside out. It teaches us to let go of what we imagined things would look like and to hold tighter to what truly matters.
So many of us step into motherhood thinking we need to have all the right things in place. The nursery. The clothes. The gear. The picture-perfect plan. But motherhood was never really about any of those things.
What we truly need cannot be bought, folded, organized, or tucked into a diaper bag.
What carries us are the lessons we learn, the women who walk beside us, the grace we are given in hard moments, and the strength that grows in us along the way. Those needs do not disappear as our children grow. They simply change shape from one season to the next, from nursery days to toddler years to the beautiful complexity of raising older children.
The most important parts of motherhood are often the ones no one can fully see. They live in the quiet sacrifices, the deep love, the stretching, the friendships, the prayers, and the ways one mother encourages another.
That is the heart behind this book.
I am honored to share it with you, and I hope it feels like a friend sitting beside you, cheering you on, reminding you that what you are doing matters and that you are enough.
